About this policy
This policy covers Nookrelay for Android and its accompanying website. Nookrelay is a home directory and reset-checklist tool associated with DETROIT MOBILE ACCESS. It describes the records you enter and the features present in this release. The app does not provide the organization’s healthcare services or measure your home. Publisher identity does not change the local storage behavior explained below.
Who the app is for
Nookrelay is designed for adults organizing everyday belongings and small areas at home. It does not ask for a date of birth or use an age-verification service. If you share a device or add details about other people, consider whether those details belong in a household directory. Avoid entering children’s private information, sensitive family records or information you do not need to locate your belongings.
The nooks you create
A nook record contains the name, room or location label and note you enter, the starter you chose, a creation time and its archive state. An internal record ID connects the nook to its belongings and rounds. These details let the app display your house directory and bring the same place back on later visits. Room labels are your own descriptions; the app does not discover an address or inspect a room.
Belongings and away states
For each belonging, Nookrelay saves its name, exact spot, note, current nook and whether you marked it away. Moving a belonging changes its saved nook and spot; returning it changes its away state. The app does not track the object’s physical movement or use location services. Its displayed home address is the place you typed, and the status reflects the action you chose.
Reset rounds and task history
A round stores its name, nook reference, ordered tasks, task text, checked states, note and start time. Finishing it adds a completion time and keeps the checklist as a record. Repeating a finished round makes a separate fresh checklist with new record IDs. These records support continuation and history inside the app; they are not activity reports sent to the publisher.
Preferences, search and filters
The reduced-motion preference is saved with your local work so the app can apply it again. Nookrelay also respects the device’s animation setting. Search words and the current browsing filters are used to select matching local records while you browse; they are not added to your saved home-record file or sent to a search provider. Starting a new browsing session can reset those temporary choices.
Where your work is stored
Saved nooks, belongings, rounds and the motion preference are written to a file in Android’s private directory for this app. The app reads that file to restore your work. It does not place the directory in a shared document folder or offer a public link to it. The privacy of that location depends on Android and the device environment; it is not a promise that an unlocked or compromised device cannot expose records.
Offline use and network access
The Android app’s core content and artwork are bundled with the installation. Creating places, finding belongings and working through rounds do not require a network connection or login. This release requests no Internet permission and contains no service that uploads your home records. Opening the optional email contact leaves the app for a mail application; sending a message depends on that application and a connection.
Permissions and device access
Nookrelay does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, shared-storage or notification permissions. It uses its own app directory to keep the records you enter. There is no background location, scheduled notification or camera-scanning feature in this release. Android may display information about the app or manage its storage through system settings independently of the app’s own controls.
Artwork and media
The Android photographs and starter illustrations are bundled decorative context for the home ideas. They are not pictures captured from your home or evidence that the app recognizes your objects. Nookrelay does not offer a photo-upload or gallery-import feature. It decodes bundled pictures for display and keeps a limited in-memory image cache while running. Website images are separate page assets loaded when you visit the website.
Accounts, SDKs and identifiers
This release has no account registration, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, cloud-sync or purchase SDK. It does not ask for an advertising ID or create a remote user profile. Random local record IDs link your own nooks, belongings, rounds and tasks; those IDs are not transmitted by the app. Android, the app store and device services may have their own data practices outside Nookrelay’s implementation.
How long records remain
The app does not automatically expire your home records after a period of inactivity. Current work, notes and finished rounds remain in app storage until that storage is removed. Archive keeps a nook or belonging in the saved file, and finished rounds remain available as history. Retention on the device is separate from any message you voluntarily send through an external mail provider.
Editing, archiving and restoring
You can edit saved names, places, notes and current tasks using the app’s controls. Archiving a nook or belonging hides it from the active directory; it does not erase it. A nook’s belongings can be hidden with that nook and remain saved. More → Archive & restore lets you bring archived records back. Restore works on records still present in the app’s local file, not on data removed from the device.
Removing work and recovery limits
To remove all Nookrelay local work, use Android Settings → Apps → Nookrelay → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. There is no in-app cloud copy from which Nookrelay can recover erased records. The publisher does not receive the home directory and cannot retrieve it from your device. Use archive for reversible hiding; clearing storage and uninstalling are different actions that remove the app’s local data.
Backup and moving devices
Nookrelay disables its Android automatic backup and excludes its app files in the configured cloud-backup and device-transfer rules. It also provides no separate backup, export or import feature. Do not rely on installing the app on another device to bring your directory with it. Device manufacturers and system migration tools operate separately; review their settings if you use them. Loss or removal of the original app storage can mean loss of your records.
Device security and shared access
Nookrelay does not add its own passcode, encrypted vault or remote-wipe control. A person who can open the app on an unlocked device may be able to read or change the directory. Your device lock, keyboard, screenshots and operating-system services are governed by the settings and providers you use. Keep secrets and sensitive records out of free-text notes, and use device access controls appropriate for your household.
Contacting the publisher
The published organization contact is Detroitmobileaccess@gmail.com. Choosing Email publisher opens a mail application addressed to that contact; Nookrelay does not attach your directory, notes or task history. The message and any information you choose to include are handled by your mail provider and recipient outside the app. Send only what is needed for your request. This contact is not a claim that the publisher can inspect or recover local app records.
Website and policy updates
Effective 15 September 2026. The accompanying website has no analytics, contact form, cookies or external fonts added by Nookrelay. Its location-slip example uses sample details in page memory and does not save a personal directory. A hosting provider may receive ordinary request details, including IP address and browser information, under its own practices. Public website use is separate from the offline app. Future releases that change permissions, storage or data flows should provide an updated policy.
